1. Singapore S T defends the involvement of foreign envoys too.
2. Five Western embassies also took part in the rally.
3. Straits Times journalist wastes his blunt tongue by quoting other participation of foreign envoys.
4. Former N S T editor Kadir Jasin who tries to cool down the situation should be treated as irrelevant.
Singapore High Com should reinforce strict legislation and declaration from time to time to their staff in view of eliminating their restraints with foreign countries.

Under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations Article 9, a receiving State may "at any time and without having to explain its decision" declare any member of a diplomatic staff persona non grata.
ReplyDeleteA person so declared is considered unacceptable and is usually recalled to his or her home nation. If not recalled, the receiving State "may refuse to recognize the person concerned as a member of the mission."
While diplomatic immunity protects mission staff from prosecution for violating civil and criminal laws, depending on rank, under Articles 41 and 42 of the Vienna Convention, they are bound to respect national laws and regulations. Breaches of these articles can lead to a persona non grata declaration being used to punish erring staff. It is also used to expel diplomats suspected of espionage (described as "activities incompatible with diplomatic status")or any overt criminal act such as drug trafficking...in this case being at Bersih gathering which clearly a breached of the court order.
we are not the only one who robbed our neighbour but 5 others did just that as well...in other words, don't blame us for robbing the dignity of our neighbour because we are not the only robbers in this region. hmmmm...

ReplyDelete1.

Guitar effects are used to enhance the tone and sound of your instrument. Guitar effects can dramatically change your guitar sound, or simply make your guitar sound sonically rich. The next step is to decide how the lick can best be used over chords. Having a good understanding of theory will help you figure out the relationship of each note of the lick to a chord. You'll soon find out that you can use that same lick over different chords then you start to realize the power of guitar licks.
